In 2005, the world’s first outdoor mass cultivation technology for edible microalgae Euglena (Japanese name: Midorimushi) was successfully established. Defining “Sustainability First” as the Euglena Philosophy, the company has been engaged in various businesses such as developing and selling food and cosmetics utilizing microalgae like Euglena and Chlorella, manufacturing and developing biofuels, providing gene analysis services, and advancing sustainable agritech by utilizing unused resources. Since 2014, they have been continuously implementing the “Euglena GENKI Program,” which delivers Euglena cookies rich in essential nutrients to children in Bangladesh.
