“The Power to Create Tomorrow” Satake developed Japan’s first power-driven rice milling machine in 1896. Since then, for over 120 years, we have focused on developing food processing machinery and large-scale rice milling plants centered around the world’s three major staple foods: rice, wheat, and corn. Our products and technologies have been deployed in approximately 150 countries worldwide. In 1995, we launched “Magic Rice,” an alpha-cooked rice product, which has been loved for about 30 years as an emergency food for disaster preparedness, as well as a convenient meal for outdoor activities like camping, and for those missing Japanese cuisine while traveling or on expeditions.
