Imaru Ikawa Shoten is located in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, which boasts one of the highest fish landing volumes in Japan. Our company has established a system to procure exceptionally fresh fish from the world’s oceans, ensuring a stable supply of fresh ingredients. The fish we purchase is kept fresh in our ultra-low temperature freezer at -40°C. Our skilled artisans cut and shape the fish, producing marinated fish with various seasonings. We engage in both wholesale and retail, supplying major supermarkets, delivery services, and the restaurant industry. One of our distinguishing features is our ability to respond carefully to customer needs, including packaging and delivery formats for our exceptionally fresh ingredients. In March 2020, we obtained halal certification. While the export of Japanese fish to Islamic countries has only just begun and is still in its developmental stage, we aim to establish a solid foundation now, as there are few competitors, to promote delicious Japanese fish in Islamic countries.
