Nishimura’s history dates back to 1929, when Hisazo Nishimura founded “Western Confectionery Nishimura” with the mission of “bringing cream puffs to all the children of Sapporo.” Over time, Western Confectionery Nishimura grew into “Nishimura Food Industry Co., Ltd.,” creating hit products that became household names in Hokkaido, such as “Marimo Yokan,” “Lemon Cake,” and “Yukatan.” In 1977, amidst this success, “Nishimura Family Co., Ltd.” was established in Eniwa City, Hokkaido, as a sister company to Nishimura Food Industry Co., Ltd., and has been cherished by the people of Hokkaido ever since.
Dosanko Energy LLC, Nishimura Family Division, continues to carry on the excellent craftsmanship and passion for confectionery making inherited from Nishimura Family Co., Ltd., a pioneer in Western confectionery in Hokkaido. As a bakery and Western confectionery specialist, they remain committed to using locally sourced ingredients and delivering products that bring joy to the people of Hokkaido.
